H-6-0 = AUGUST 6 1970 so it will work as a warranty block for 1969 or most 1970
needs to be cleaned and finished honed. i checked the piston to wall clearance and it is a tight .005 . the story on the block is that it was a warrenty engine for a 69 z28 and than broke a rod. hence the small damage to bottom of cylinder. See photos, will not effect performance or integrity of the engine - "way below rings." It has been bored .030 and appears to have been run for a short period time.

HAVE RECENTLY TAKEN IT TO A ENGINE MACHINE SHOP TO HAVE IT CHECKED. They magna-fluxed it and inspected the cylinder . They gave it a clean bill of health and stated it was fine with no cracks and the part on the bottom of the cylinder is so low it is not an issue.
