    ANTIQUE ETUI EGG NESTING SET
    Interesting and unusual antique Victorian carved wood egg or nut shape nesting boxes measuring 2-1/4, 1-3/4" and 1-1/4" in size. Featuring beautiful graining on the wood of each, even the smallest egg opens. All eggs are empty.
    Condition is very nice with no damage other than a tight crack on the side of the largest - I found this by feel - it is tight and does not travel - believe it is an easing line. They can be displayed separately or as a single egg - perfect for holding small sewing items or other similar miniature goodies. I think these were originally intended as darning eggs for gloves. Lovely addition to any antique sewing collection or display!
