Syracuse man arrested in Rome drug investigation, cocaine and guns found

Rome, N.Y. — A Syracuse man was arrested Friday in Rome after he was found to have over a hundred packets of cocaine as well as guns and ammunition, police said.
Alfred L. Thomas, 39, was arrested following an investigation into the selling of cocaine, Rome police said in a news release Friday.
During a search, 133 individual packages of cocaine, weighing 1.3 ounces were found, police said. Two handguns, miscellaneous ammunition and $390 was also found, they said.
